"But she really loved Keith. She just couldn’t live with him the way he became when he was drinking and everything. Strangely enough, at her memorial my stepdad did say that Keith was the love of her life which was a bit weird. He knew she would have stayed if she could have. She just couldn’t. And she was protecting me as well. She always loved him and when he died it was very hard on her. Took her a long time to get over that.”
